How much do tickets cost?

Tickets for the 3-day event (Master Class and conference) are $710 ($650 for Queensland Department of Education staff)

Tickets for the 2-day conference are $620 ($580 for Queensland Department of Education staff)

1-day tickets for either Thursday or Friday are $300.

 

Who should attend the PBL conference?

  • Principals, Deputy Principals, Heads of Department, and other strategic leaders within schools.
  • PBL school leadership team members and coaches.
  • Staff in schools implementing PBL.
  • Staff directly involved in the teaching of students, or who provide direct teaching and support to students.
  • State or region-based leaders and advisers.
  • Anyone interested in adopting a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) framework in schools.

 

Can I attend just a Master Class?

Master Class registrations are only available in conjunction with the 2-day conference event.

 

Can I attend just one day of the conference?

Single day registrations are offered for either the Thursday or Friday. However, attendance at the 2-day event is recommended to get the most out of the conference.

 

Can I change my Master Class selection?

Master Class changes are possible up until June 10 provided that places are still available. No Master Class changes will be allowed at the event.

 

How do I choose which concurrent sessions to attend?

Information on breakout sessions will be available on the conference app. There is no need to select sessions in advance. If room capacity has been reached you may be directed to select another session.

 

Can I get a refund if I am no longer able to attend?

If you are unable to attend, you will need to notify us in writing, via email

Cancellations received after 5pm on June 10 will not be eligible for any refund.

Cancellations received before June 10 will receive a full refund.


Can I transfer my ticket to a colleague?

Tickets are transferable if you are no longer able to attend. This change needs to first be approved by your Principal/Manager.

You will need to notify us of this change in writing, via email as soon as possible.

Please include the following information of the person approved to attend in your place:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • School/Department
  • Role 
  • Dietary requirements
  • Accessibility requirements

 

Can I charge my device at the conference?

You will need to have all electronic devices fully charged for the conference. There will be charging stations and power points available at the conference but these will be limited. You must also bring all charging cables for your electronic devices.

 

Is accommodation available for the conference?

Conference delegates must organise their own accommodation if required. The official conference hotel is the Pullman Cairns International. Contact the hotel directly for the best available rate.


Is there a conference app?

Yes, a conference app will be available prior to the conference. Notification will be sent via email to the registered delegates with instructions when it is available to download.


Where do I need to go when I arrive at the conference?

All delegates are to proceed to the conference registration area adjacent to the Mezzanine Exhibition level. Please refer to the map.


Will there be internet available at the conference?

Cairns Convention Centre wireless internet will be available to delegates during the conference.


Can I store my luggage at the venue?

There are no storage facilities available at the venue. We recommend you store your luggage at your hotel for the duration of the conference if possible.
